Randi Wine’s professional expertise has been in direct marketing, providing clients with strategic planning, marketing plan development, creative/offer creation and statistical modelling/data analysis.
Randi Wine began her career in direct marketing in 1978 at one of the largest independent direct marketing advertising agencies in the U.S. The agency was acquired by Y & R and Randi became the Executive Vice President of account management and a lead member of the new business team. The accounts she managed were among the agency’s largest and leaders in the financial services, credit card and membership arenas.
In 1983, Randi left Y & R to start her own direct marketing agency – The Direct Marketing Specialists, Inc. (DMS). Over the past 40 years, DMS has continued its focus on financial services direct marketing within both the consumer and business-to-business sectors. Clients include Fortune 500 property, casualty, life and health insurance companies.
In 1999 she was part of a start-up team that raised $80,000,000 in venture capital funding for a non-standard, virtual auto insurance company. Once funded, DMS was the marketing arm of the company whose sole distribution system was direct marketing.
In the 40 years that DMS has been in business, they have never advertised. All of the agency’s business has been generated by referrals from clients, vendors and speaking at industry forums.
Randi is dedicated to not-for-profit work. She has been a CPS reading tutor, a volunteer for over 15 years at the Uptown Café and a mentor to young girls at Noble Charter Schools.
She has also been on the board of Personal PAC for 15 years. Serving on the executive committee, she has chaired both the events and communication committees for many years. She has been part of the candidate interviews and has been a dedicated fund raiser.
